The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, July 22, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the northwest with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Gusua, Bauchi and its environ during the morning hours. Later in the day, cloudiness still persists with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Sokoto, Kebbi, Yelwa and Bauchi. Day and night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are likely over parts of the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Minna, Lafia, Kaduna, Jos, Bida, Abuja and its environ during the morning hours. Isolated thunderstorms are expected over most parts of the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 31℃and 18 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 24/17℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the southeast inland with chances of isolated thunderstorms over the southwest inland while rains are probable over Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar axis during the morning hours. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over most part of the inland cities with chances of rains over the coastal cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night-time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 31℃and 22 – 24℃respectively
