The Senate has adjourned plenary sitting in ‎grief over the passing on of another serving member of the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Mohammed Wamakko, who gave up the ghost last Friday at the age of 50.

The deceased lawmaker represented Kware/Wamakko Constituency, Sokoto State, and was serving his first term.

‎Tuesday’s plenary was adjourned after Senate Leader Ahmed Lawal, moved a motion for the upper house to stand down all items on its legislative order paper to the next day in accordance with its age-long ‎tradition

The Senate had scheduled for consideration, among other things, the Whistle Blowers Protection Bill‎ as well as the National Information and Intelligence Database Bill.
