GOC 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army,Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar, has commended members of the Conversion Board 2017 for Short Service Combatant and Direct Short Service Commission Officers of the Nigerian Army for the high level of discipline, organisation and preparation for the conduct of the exercise.
According to a statement issuedon Mondayin Enugu by the Deputy Director, Army, Public Relations 82 Division, Colonel Sagir Musa, the GOC gave the commendation on Mondayat the Nigerian Army Language Institute, Ovim in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, venue for the conversion exercise.
General Abubakar further charged the participants to be focused, dedicated and remain honest from the beginning to the end of the exercise.
“There is no short cut to any aspect of this exercise. The secret to success here is your discipline, zeal and determination. Strict measures have been put in place to instantly detect,and promptly and severely deal with any form of cheating or malpractice... I, therefore, charged you to remain focused, disciplined and committed to what you are here for,” General Abubakar admonished.
A total of 348 officers of the rank of lieutenants and captains are participating for the conversion to Regular Commission and Direct Regular Commission respectively for the year 2017. The exercise will run from July 15 to 24, 2017.
