The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, July 17, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Dutse and Nguru. Later in the day, localised thunderstorms are expected over Maiduguri, Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Dutse, Potiskum and Gusau. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 - 33℃and 19-24℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness with prospects of localised thunderstorm is expected over Minna, Bida, Ilorin, Abuja, Lafia, in the morning hours. However, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Makurdi, Minna, Mambilla, Jos Lafia, Lokoja, Jalingo and Yola in afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 24 – 32℃and 16 – 24℃respectively except Jos at 24/16℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail with prospects of localised rains over places such as Enugu, Awka, Asaba and Umuahia, Abakaliki owerri, Lagos and Ijebu Ode in the morning hours. As the day progresses, localised rains/thunderstorms are unlikely over Calabar, Eket, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Akure, Ibadan, Osogbo, Enugu, Awka, Asaba and Umuahia in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 27 – 32℃and 21 – 23℃respectively.
