The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Friday, July 14, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region during the morning hours with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire region during the afternoon/evening. Day and Night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 29 – 33oC and 19 – 25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Yola, Mambila plateau, Lafia Makurdi and Jalingo during the morning hours. Later in the day, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Minna, Lafia, Makurdi, Abuja, Lokoja and its environs. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 34℃and 17 – 26℃respectively except Jos at 26/17℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning, cloudy conditions are expected over the southwestern part of the coast while there are chances of isolated rains over Obudu, Abakaliki, Enugu, Warri, Asaba, Eket, Calabar and Portharcourt. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire southern cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 29 – 30℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
