Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, July 9, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are expected over the northwest with chances of cloudiness over the northeast during the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are likely over most cities. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 36℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are likely over the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Bauchi, Jos, Kaduna, Minna, Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Ibi, Mambilla plateau and its environ during the morning hours. Isolated thunderstorms are expected over most parts of the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 31℃and 19 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 25/17℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Obudu, Ikom, Ogoja and its environ. Isolated rains are anticipated over Ikeja, Ijebu-Ode and its environsduring the morning hours. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over most part of the southern cities with chances of isolated rains over the southwest coast during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 31℃and 20 – 23℃respectively.
