The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, July 8, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Localised thunderstorms are anticipated over Gusau, Dutse, Katsina, Maiduguri and Nguru axis while cloudy condition is expected over the northwest. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 36℃and 20 – 22℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Localised rains are anticipated over Abuja, Lafia and Jos axis in the morning hours with prospect of localised thunderstorms over Makurdi, Yola and Mambilla plateau in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 31℃and 18 – 23℃respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Localised rains are anticipated over the coastal cities in the morning hours with prospects of localised thunderstorm with rain over the entire region throughout the forecast period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 32℃and 20 – 23℃respectively.
