Hadiza Bawa, wife of former Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Lawal Bawa, is dead.
Abdulrahman Bawa, her eldest son, said she died around 1:15 a.m. on Thursday at a private hospital in Kaduna after a protracted illness.
Late Hadiza, a native of Ribah, Danko/Wasagu Local Government, Zuru Emirate of Kebbi State, is survived by her husband and six children.
“She has been buried this morning, around 10:00 a.m., at Isah Kaita Burial Ground according to Islamic rites,” Mr. Abdulrahman said.
Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, representing Kebbi South, who sent his condolence message from Washington DC, USA, described the late Hadiza as a peaceful woman, full of wisdom and an embodiment of tolerance. He prayed to Allah to grant her Aljanna Firdausi, the family, entire people of Kebbi and Kaduna State, the fortitude to bare the lose.
Senator Sani Saleh, retired AIG Dabo Aliyu, Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Haruna Saeed, former Kaduna governorship aspirant in the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) for Kaduna North, Sole Administrator Gambo Kurfi, were among many mourners sighted at Bawa’s residence at Kabala Doki, Kaduna.
