The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday, July 6, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region during the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over some cities like Yelwa, Gusau, Sokoto, Katsina and Kebbi. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire region during the afternoon/evening. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 38℃and 20 – 25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Minna, Abuja, and Jalingo during the morning hours. Later in the day, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Minna, Lafia, Makurdi, Abuja and Lokoja. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 31℃and 18 – 22℃respectively except Jos at 27/19℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Obudu, Akure, Ikom, Abeokuta, Ogoja, Enugu and its environs throughout the forecast period. Isolated rains are anticipated over Lagos, Warri, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and its environs during the morning hours. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire coastal cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 33℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
