Senator Shuaibu Lau
The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has administered the oath of office on Senator Shuaibu Lau as the bonafide Senator representing Taraba North Senatorial District.
Senator Lau took the oath of office during plenary today following the Supreme Court judgement which sacked former Senator Danladi Abubakar.
Danladi and Lau are both members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In another development, Senator George Sekibo representing Rivers East toady forwarded a petition to the Senate from one of his constituents on incessant harassment by security agencies. The Senate President referred the petition to the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition, ordering it to report back in two weeks.
