Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, July 5, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Dutse, Nguru, Potiskum, Damaturu, Kano, Kebbi and Yelwa. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected over the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35℃and 21 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Increased cloudiness with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Yola and Mambilla Plateau in the morning hours. As the day progresses, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃and 18 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 26/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of localised rains over places such as Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa and Eket in the morning hours. However, localised thunderstorms are likely over Akure, Ibadan, Osogbo, Enugu, Awka, Obudu, Calabar, Eket, Lagos and Port Harcourt in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 30℃and 19 – 22℃respectively.
