Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, July 3, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Sokoto and Southern Borno. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected over the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 40℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorms are anticipated over places like Yola, Gombe and Bauchi in the morning hours. In the afternoon/evening hours, thunderstorms are expected over some places like Lafia, Mambila, Kaduna, Jos, Abuja and Bauchi.
Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃and 21 – 25℃respectively except Jos at 26/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: The coastal areas such as, Lagos, Warri and also the inland cities of Ijebu-Ode, Obudu, Gboko and Vandeikya are expected to witness rain showers in the morning period. Later In the afternoon/evening hours, rains are expected to prevail over the region. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 27 – 32℃and 21 – 25℃respectively.
