The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, June 28, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region during the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over some cities like Yelwa, Gusau and Maiduguri during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 38℃and 21 – 25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Lafia, Abuja, Jos, Bauchi, Makurdi and Gombe during the morning hours. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Bauchi, Gombe, Jos, Makurdi, Abuja and Minna during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 19 – 26℃respectively except Jos at 27/19℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is likely over the inland cities in the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Obudu, Akure, Ikom, Abeokuta, Ogoja, Enugu and its environs in the afternoon/evening hours. Isolated rains are anticipated over Lagos, Warri, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and its environs during the morning hours. However, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire coastal cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 29 – 33℃and 20- 25℃respectively.
