Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, June 26, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected across this region but there are chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Maiduguri and Yola. In the afternoon, Kano, Gusau, Katsina, Yelwa and Sokoto are expected to have thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy in the morning while there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over places like Jos, Lafia, Kaduna, Lokoja, Makurdi and Abuja in the afternoon. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32℃and 19 – 24℃respectively except Jos at 26/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Along the coastal areas, Lagos, Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Eket are expected to have rains in the morning, while other places are likely to be in the cloudy conditions. In the afternoon, localised thunderstorms are expected in the inland areas such as Osogbo, Akure, Ado Ekiti, Obudu, Awka, Onitsha, Benin, Enugu and Abakaliki. The coastal states arehoweverexpected to have extended isolated thunderstorms activities into the latter part of the day. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 29 – 33℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
