The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, June 25, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: The region is expected to be cloudy except over Southern Sokoto, Kebbi and Yelwa where there are chances of thunderstorms in the morning hours. But later in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated over Sokoto, Gusau, Katsina, Kano, Dutse Damaturu, Potiskum, Gombe, Maiduguri and their environs. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 36℃and 24 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region except over Southern Niger state where there are prospects of localised thunderstorms. However, there are prospects of thunderstorms over Abuja, Minna, Jos, Bauchi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Yola and Mambilla Plateau and their environs later in the day. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 31℃and 21 – 23℃respectively, except over Jos where 26oC and 17day and light temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: The inland cities and the southeast coast will be cloudy in the morning while the southwest coast will experience rains in the morning hours. Later in the day, the coastal cities will experience rains while the inland cities have chances of thunderstorms. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 33℃and 22 – 25℃.
