Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, April 1, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny morning is expected over this region while sunny and hazy is likely to prevail during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 41°C and 18 – 23°C respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated with chances of localised thunderstorms over Minna and Ilorin during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Mambila plateau during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 – 40°C and 21 – 27°C respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Akure, Warri, Lagos, Benin, Port Harcourt and Calabar during the morning hours. During the afternoon, localised thunderstorms are anticipated over most part of the region with except Shaki and Abeokuta. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 34°C and 23 – 26°C respectively.
