Blac Haus, a new live-entertainment platform, will make its Lagos debut with eight DJs at an event featuring immersive sound and lighting.
In a statement on Sunday, the Founder of Blac Haus, Aishat Anaekwe, said the event, tagged ‘The Frequency,’ would feature eight DJs.
They are Kikelomo, DJ Tobzy, Azzi on the Beat, Sunrise, Maze x Mxtreme, WeAreAllChemicals, K.N.D and Germany-based DJ Fabiyo.
Anaekwe, who previously managed events including Heineken’s Champions League Fan experiences and Beer With Us Festival, said the DJs would perform consecutively.
She said performances would run from 6 p.m. until 3 a.m., without a designated headline act.
According to her, the production will centre on an illuminated cube structure housing each performing DJ, supported by a venue-specific sound system.
“We wanted to build a night that starts when the doors open, not when the headliner arrives,” she said.
Anaekwe said the event, scheduled for Dec. 15 at Muri Okunola Park, would feature lasers, moving-head beams and strobe lighting.
She said the lighting cues would be programmed to the music using a single timecode.
The event would accommodate only 3,500 attendees and would also be livestreamed on the platform’s channels. (NAN)
