The Delta Government has directed that flags in public buildings be flown at half-mast while declaring a three days mourning for late Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, a former governor of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Uduaghan died at the early hours of Monday, Oct. 19, at the age of 71.
The directive is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu on Monday in Asaba.
According to the statement, Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori, declared a three days mourning period effective Monday, Oct. 19, following the death of the state’s former governor, Uduaghan.
“The governor also directed that flags across all public buildings in Delta state should be flown at half-mast throughout the three days mourning period.”
It would be recalled that late Uduaghan served as governor of Delta from May 29, 2007 to May 29, 2015. (NAN)
