The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has launched a citizen-engagement platform, Ask AA, to enable Nigerians to ask questions directly about his agenda and plans for the country.
The platform is scheduled to go live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
In a statement, Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, said the free platform would allow citizens to submit questions on issues such as the economy, security, technology, job creation and the cost of living.
Shaibu said Atiku would personally respond to questions, with support from his media team. He added that the initiative was intended to bridge the information gap between the candidate and voters.
“The objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,” Shaibu said, adding that it reflects the candidate’s commitment to using technology to make government more efficient.
He said the campaign also planned to introduce a radio interface to enable communities without internet access to use the platform.
Announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku said leadership should involve a two-way conversation between those in power and the citizens they serve.
He said governance had often felt distant from the people, adding that national progress required direct dialogue between leaders and citizens.
Atiku described Ask AA as a platform for transparency, accountability and dialogue, where Nigerians could ask about his economic record, policy proposals and recommendations for national progress.
He added that he would personally call selected users who provided their contact details to hear about their experiences and concerns.
“A transparent, technology-driven government is not a promise for tomorrow. It begins with how we listen to you today,” he said. (Nigerian Tribune)
