Nigerian content creator and self-acclaimed financial expert, Ojaigho Prosper, popularly known as GehGeh, has described Burna Boy’s reported ?9 billion Bugatti Chiron a “financial mistake”.

GehGeh made the remark in a video shared on social media while reacting to the singer’s purchase of the luxury vehicle.

In the video rant, the social media commentator mockingly suggested that a Toyota Corolla has more practical value on Nigerian roads than a luxury Bugatti.

He urged Burna Boy to dispose of the car, questioning its usefulness amid the country’s economic challenges.

“Burna Boy, that your car wey you buy eh, call Aboki iron condemn make them come carry that financial mistake wey you buy from your compound. It’s a shame,” he said.

GehGeh gave Burna Boy 24 hours to get rid of the hyper car,urging him to sell or have scrap scavengers cart it away, and reinvest the funds into community empowerment, solar power projects, or youth employment.

“Call Aboki now. I’m giving 24 hours. That car you buy, what benefit is it to me as a Nigerian? ” he said.

He also criticised the purchase, citing the poor condition of many roads in the country.

“Look at our roads. You carry billions of naira go buy car, but the roads wey you wan use the car drive no good.

“The country you come from, the roads are bad, and you are buying a car wey no get use to you and the country.

“Nigerians are hungry and you are buying a car,” he added.

The comments have sparked widespread debate across social media, with users divided over celebrity luxury spending versus social responsibility initiatives.

GehGeh’s outburst followed Burna Boy’s reported recent late-night outing in Lagos in the customised, one-of-one Venuum wide-body Bugatti Chiron VXX.

In a viral video online, the Grammy-winning artiste was seen driving the vehicle through the streets of Lagos while leaving a popular club.

Large crowds gathered around the vehicle, with some fans running alongside it as it navigated the traffic.

The appearance has sparked debate on social media over the practicality of driving an ultra-low hyper car on Lagos roads.

Some users questioned how it would cope with speed bumps and rough surfaces, while others speculated that its hydraulic lift system might have been used to clear obstacles.(NAN)
