The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Sidi as the substantive Clerk to the House of Representatives.
Sidi’s confirmation was approved alongside those of five other senior officials during the 31st meeting of the Commission’s sixth board held on Tuesday at the Commission’s Conference Room in Abuja.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Public Affairs of the Commission, Emmanuel Anyigor, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
The Commission also confirmed the appointments of Mrs. Fortune Ihua-Maduenyi as Secretary, Protocol and Inter-Parliamentary Relations; Asien Fatima Nana as Secretary, Zonal Liaison Offices; Engr. Bashir Layya as Secretary, Estates and Works; Siaka Wahab Sadia as Deputy Clerk (Legislative), House of Representatives; and Dauda Bulama Bukar as Deputy Clerk (Administration), House of Representatives.
The confirmations followed their earlier elevation to the respective positions in acting capacities on January 20, 2026. (The Nation)
