Ekiti State ADC Guber candidate, Dare Bejide
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dare Bejide, suffered a defeat in his polling unit as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji, secured a commanding victory in the results announced from Ilawe-Ekiti Ward II, Polling Unit 004.
According to the official results declared at the polling unit on Saturday, Oyebanji polled 140 votes to emerge the clear winner, while Bejide garnered 37 votes in his home unit.
The African Action Congress (AAC) secured three votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Wole Oluyede, received two votes.
The result forms part of the ongoing collation of votes across the state as residents of Ekiti participated in the 2026 governorship election to choose their next governor. (Saturday Tribune)
