A prominent stakeholder in Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2 of Lagos State, Chief Moses Onwughalu, has said that with Prince Nixon Okwara as the representative of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2 in the National Assembly, quality representation would be certain.

Speaking in an interview, he said that his reason for the opinion is because Prince Nixon Okwara’s life has become a visible testimony of generosity, humility, love and unwavering commitment to the service of mankind.

According to him, Prince Okwara has distinguished himself as a true and dependable man whose steadfastness, loyalty and support for the downtrodden is unmatched.

In this interview, he also speaks on other relevant issues.

Why have you joined the call for Prince Okwara to represent Oshodi-Isolo federal constituency 2 in the national assembly?

Prince Okwara is somebody that I have known for more than three decades. He is a man who has carved a noble reputation as a philanthropist extraordinaire, a man whose heart is open to the needs of others and whose hand has consistently reached out to uplift, support, and encourage the masses. Unlike the average Nigerian politician, his generosity has not been confined to words or appearances; it has found practical expression in the multitude that he has touched, the burdens that he has helped to lighten, and the hope he has inspired in many homes and communities. In a society where genuine compassion is increasingly scarce, his life stands as a refreshing reminder that true greatness lies in service to others. That is the reason why a lot of people, myself included are clamouring that he should be given the APC House of Representative ticket for Oshodi-Isolo Federal Consistency2.

What do you think are his chances of clinching the ticket?

Prince Nixon Okwara is not just a man. The lives that he has touched positively has turned him into a movement and you know that politics is a game of numbers. He has the numbers by his side, so his chances of clinching the ticket Is very bright. He parades a legacy of service, kindness, and goodwill that has been built over the years. With that, I don’t have any doubt that the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lagos State will give him the ticket, because he is a very big asset to the party. We cannot deny the fact that Oshodi-Isolo has become a hard nut to crack to the ruling party in Lagos State. If you go down memory lane, you would see that parties in the opposition have always won elections there. Even as I speak, a member of the Labour Party is the one representing the Oshodi-Isolo federal constituency, but Prince Okwara has the capacity to break this jinx and return the consistency back to the APC.

From what you have said, Prince Okwara is charismatic but records show that most charismatic people have failed as leaders . . .

I want to tell you without any fear of contradiction that Prince Okwara is an exception to the record that you talked about. I know that there is a very big difference between talking and doing. Prince Okwara is more of a doer than a talker. Those who know him close enough would tell you that he does a lot more of doing and a lot less of talking. In leadership, he has been tested over and over, so he has lots of experience. He was the chairman of Greenfield Estate in Ago Palace way. He was the chairman of Ago-Okota landlords association. He is the convener of Grow Orlu Movement and other notable organizations, so in leadership, he has been tested and found worthy.

What has been his role in APC?

In the All Progressives Congress, he has distinguished himself as a true and dependable party man. His steadfastness, loyalty, and support for the Party remain worthy of recognition and commendation. Through seasons of challenge and triumph, he has remained firm, consistent, and deeply invested in the progress of the party and the well-being of the people. During the 2023 general election, he was a member of the APC, PCC, that is All Progressives Congress, Presidential Campaign Council and travelled extensively across the length and breadth of the country to sell the programs and visions of the then candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even at the risk of his own life. I strongly feel that such constancy is rare, and such commitment deserves to be rewarded. That is the reason why we are clamouring that he should be given the ticket for Oshodi-Isolo federal constituency2. So, he is an exceptional philanthropist, and a committed party stalwart. Prince Okwara’s contributions to community, party, and people have made him a respected figure whose relevance transcends titles and occasions.
