Late Actress Aunty Ajara
Actress, Ajara Lasisi better known as Aunty Ajara has died.
Her brother, Ridwan Lasisi confirmed her demise in an emotional video shared on Instagram on Thursday.
The news comes barely a week after Aunty Ajara’s deplorable health condition was made public by her colleague, Ronke Oshodi-Oke.
Ridwan Lasisi said his sister died early Thursday.
He thanked her Nollywood colleagues, fans and the general public for their concern and support.
He said, “Good morning to you all. My name is Ridwan Lasisi. I am a brother to Ajara. The doctor confirmed to us this morning that Ajara has passed on.
“All the families, we are using this period to appreciate you all. We appreciate the president and all industry members.”
He also urged the public to stop donating to an account that had been provided to raise funds for her medical expenses.
“We also use this opportunity to appeal to those sending money not to send it anymore. The one we are contributing for her sake is no more. Thank you so much. We do not want you to send money into that account again,” the actress’ brother added.
Aunty Ajara endeared herself to fans with roles in movies including Gingerrr, Queen Lateefah, and Isiti. (The Sun, excluding headline)
