The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday October 12, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely over the region during the forecast period with possibility of localised thundery activities around the Yelwa, Sokoto axis during the afternoon/evening period. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32 – 37°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy situation is anticipated with chances of morning isolated thunderstorms over Jalingo, Yola, Lafia, Makurdi, Mambila, Abuja, Jos and its environs. There are also prospects of localised thunderstorms over the high ground areas of the central cities including Abuja, Jos, Bauchi, Lokoja, Ilorin and Minna in the evening/night hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated with probability of localised rains over Lagos, Warri, Enugu and Awka. Localised thunderstorms/rain showers are not unlikely over places like Port Harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, Yenagoa, Benin, Oshogbo, Lagos, Abakaliki, Owerri, Awka and Enugu during the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32°C.
