The MainPower Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MEDL) has announced a planned power outage in parts of Enugu metropolis for urgent maintenance work.
The Head, Communications of the company, Mr Emeka Ezeh, said in a statement in Enugu on Tuesday, that the planned power outage was scheduled for Wednesday, Oct.1, 2025, between 8am and 5pm.
According to Eze, this outage is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN still out essential maintenance works on its facilities.
“This maintenance work will affect the following 33KV Feeders/Lines: Kingsway (Lines 1 and 2), Emene Industrial (Lines 1 and 2), Ugwuogo, Thinkers Corner, Trans Ekulu, Ituku Ozalla, and Government House.
“Consequently, the areas that would be affected included: 9th Mile and surrounding communities, Government House and environs, Shoprite Axis, Golf Estate and Zoo Estate.
“Others are Okpara Avenue, Kingsway Area, Abakaliki Road, CBN Quarters, Railway Quarters, Artisan, Ngwo, Coal Camp, Ologo Quarters, Uwani, Asata, Golden Royale and Iva Valley.
“We sincerely regret the inconvenience this may cause our esteemed customers and assure them that supply will be restored once the maintenance is completed,” he said.
Ezeh said that Mainpower remained committed to delivering improved and reliable service to her customers.
