The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, August 11, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa with chances of localised thunderstorms over Katsina, Dutse, Kano, Gusau, Nguru and Maiduguri in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 31 oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated over the region with likely hood of localised rains over some parts of the central cities including Abuja, Jalingo, Lafia and Lokoja during the morning hours. There are also slim chances of localised thunderstorms over the high
ground areas such as Jos, Kaduna and Minna in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 17- 31 oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected in the morning over the entire inland and coastal cities. Prospects of localised rain showers over Calabar, Port Harcourt and Lagos including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours.
Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 30 oC.
