Expect rains today in the South, clouds and thunderstorms in North and Central states: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition fortoday, Tuesday, August 9, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected in the morning with prospects of isolated morning thunderstorms over Sokoto, Maiduguri, Damaturu, Nguru and Potiskum. In the afternoon/evening period, wide spread thunderstorms are expected. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29 - 31 oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with chances of localised rains around Makurdi and Lokoja in the morning. Localised thunderstorms are probable during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29 - 30 oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy in the morning while localised rains are expected to affect the entire region in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-29 oC.
