The National Assembly Service Commission on Wednesday confirmed Mr Ataba Sani-Omolori as the new Clerk to the National Assembly.
The appointment, ratified at the commission’s 443rd meeting, takes effect from August 15, 2016.
Mr. Sani-Omolori takes over from Salisu Maikasuwa, who has been on terminal leave since May this year.
Mr. Sani-Omolori, who was a former Clerk of the House of Representatives, has been acting capacity in the position since May.
