Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition fortoday, Monday, August 1, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, and Gusau during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over few areas in this region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 - 32oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Rainfall activities are likely over Jos, Kaduna, Abuja, Minna, Lokoja and Makurdi during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the high ground areas during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27 - 30oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cities like Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa, Obudu and Ogoja will likely witness rains during the morning hours. There are still prospects of localised rains over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-29oC.
