HAPPENING NOW: Motorists stranded on Abuja-Kaduna highway

Road users are experiencing heavy traffic at the Bishini area along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

Movements along the road have been halted as many private and commercial vehicles stand still.

It looks set to get worse as the day progresses with heavy traffic heading into most Northern states.

Stranded commuters are heard wondering why it is an annual occurrence on this stretch of the road between Jere and Katari towns. (Daily Trust)
