The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has formally sealed the deal for the exclusive use of Tent A accommodation for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj exercise, in partnership with Rawaf Mina Service Providers.
A statement by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Information and Publication at NAHCON, on Thursday April 24, 2025, has confirmed this.
This marks a significant milestone in the Commission’s ongoing efforts to improve the welfare and experience of Nigerian pilgrims in the Holy Land.
The Chairman of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, made this known following a high-level Zoom meeting held on the night of Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with officials of Rawaf Mina. The company has been contracted to provide VIP services for the upcoming pilgrimage.
Rawaf Mina Service Providers confirmed the availability of 2,800 VIP bed spaces in a newly constructed five-storey facility, situated just a few meters from the Jamrat in Mina. The building boasts 23 rooms on the first floor and 30 rooms each on the upper floors, with modern amenities designed to enhance comfort for pilgrims.
In the meeting, attended by numerous Tour Operators, the Rawaf Mina Chairman emphasized the need for early completion of Hajj registration processes. This is to ensure the smooth production of NUSUK access cards, which are required for movement and identification within the holy sites.
Professor Usman advised all Tour Operators who have indicated interest in the Tent A option to upgrade their payments accordingly in order to gain access to the VIP facility. He added that some intending pilgrims originally listed under Tent D—for administrative convenience—must now pay the balance required for Tent A allocation.
“Once payment is confirmed, the Commission will facilitate the re-routing of the pilgrims’ transportation arrangements to the designated VIP camp in Muna,” the NAHCON Chairman explained.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to ensuring a more organized and spiritually uplifting Hajj experience, assuring all stakeholders of its continued collaboration with reputable service providers and tour agencies.
