
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday, June 26, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: We expect localised thunderstorms over parts of Sokoto, Gusau, Kano and Borno axis in the morning. Chances of isolated thunderstorms over few areas of the extreme north are anticipated in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are
expected to be in the range of 32-34 oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Overnight rain showers are likely over some parts of Abuja, with isolated thunderstorms over Mambila Plateau, Minna and Bida axis. Afternoon/Evening hours has better prospect for few thunderstorms over the high grounds of the central states. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 33 oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Inland cities of the south like Enugu, Awka, Ibadan, etc, will likely experience moderate rainfall activities around morning hours. However, there are chances of localised thunderstorms over some parts of this region in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum
temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28-31 o C.
