The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, May 6, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of overnight/early morning thunderstorm over Yelwa and environs in the morning while partly cloudy conditions are expected over Katsina, Nguru, Kano and Maiduguri. In the afternoon, it will be sunny over Maiduguri axis. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25-29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Lafia, Makurdi, and Ilorin in the afternoon/evening period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 19-26oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: The Southwest is expected to be cloudy in the morning with chances of localised rain showers over places like Port Harcourt, Eket, Yenagoa and Calabar. In the afternoon/evening period, localised thunderstorms are likely to affect places like Abeokuta, Oshogbo Akure, Shaki, Awka and Owerri. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-26oC.
