The General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Laz Ilo, has enjoined members of the civil society to report any act of indiscipline involving any army personnel, just as he warned that the division, under his command, would not tolerate any form of indiscipline.
Major-General Ilo also said every act or manifestation of indiscipline by officers and men within the division’s area of responsibility would be decisively dealt with, while assuring that no act of indiscipline would go unpunished.
The GOC stated this at the Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, on Wednesday, during the inauguration of the members of the general court martial.
The members are Brigadier-General Ibikunle Raji (president), Colonel Jimoh Audu, Lieutenant-Colonel Kenneth Elemele; Lieutenant-Colonel Aliyu Emekoma; Major James Mebiola and the judge advocate, Major Diepreye Biambo.
Describing the Nigerian Army as being professionally responsive in the discharge of its constitutional roles, the army chief disclosed that more officers or soldiers who displayed manner that depicts indiscipline and could bring the system down would join in the trial before the court martial.
