Sorrow and tears as killer herdsmen strike in Zamfara

At least seven people have been killed and several others injured after suspected armed herdsmen attacked two villages in Zamfara State.

Spokesman for the Zamfara State Police Command, Sanusi Amiru, told journalists that the bandits stormed Madada Village to steal petroleum products from the residents, and in the process, opened fire, killing some people on the spot.

He also disclosed that another set of armed bandits attacked Ruwan Tofa village killing some people, while many others sustained various degrees of injuries.

In the meantime, mobile and conventional policemen as well as other security operates have been deployed to the affected communities in order to restore normalcy.
