Fourth Republic Senator Danladi Bamaiyi is dead.

Family sources told our reporter that hedied in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday after a protracted illness.

During his days in the Senate, the late Danladi Bamaiyi was Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Contract Verification.

A relation of one-time Chief of Army Staff, retired General Ishaya Bmaiyi, Danladi Bamaiyi had served from 1999 to 2003 and represented Kebbi South Senatorial zone.

He is survived by one wife, three children.

Reacting to the news of Bamaiyi’s death, Deputy Senate Leader Bala Ibn Na’Allah prayed for the repose of his soul and the family as well as people of Kebbi State the fortitude to bare the lose.
