Family sends SOS, desperately needs $33,200 to treat 7-year-old boy with cerebral palsy

A family has urged Nigerians to come to its aid in the treatment of one of its children, Tolulope Boluwatife Adelusi.

Adelusi, 7, is said to suffer from cerebral palsy,

He was said to have been presented to the hospital with spastic quadriplegia at 15 months.

The doctor said there was lack of neck control with all the primitive reflexes predominating.

A specialist hospital in Beijing, China has offered to treat Adelusi for between $26,000 and $33,200.

The treatment will take between three and four weeks.

The hospital said: “We have treated many cerebral palsy patients and more than 98 per cent of them got obvious improvement.

“The improvement includes: cognition, reaction, intelligence, vision, speech, epilepsy, movement, coordinate ability etc.

“It is also important to understand that since patients are different from each other in terms of general condition, our doctors will design specific treatment programme for each patient and the outcomes will not be the same.

“Beijing Puhua International Hospital is one of the leading neurology hospitals in China, and is very experienced with the advanced cellular treatment methods that may greatly improve and benefit the Cerebral Palsy patient.

“Located in the center of Beijing, our stem cell center has state-of-the-art facilities.

“A unique stem cell program has been dedicated to the treatment of neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including: Degenerative Diseases, Cerebral Palsy, batten disease, Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury and other neurological or neurosurgical diseases or disorders.”
