The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Sunday, April 17, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy condition will prevail over Sokoto, Katsina, Kano and Gombe while sunny condition is expected over Nguru, Damaturu and Maiduguri axis. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 20- 29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Increased cloudiness are anticipated within the early morning hours with slim chances of rains over few places within the region while high prospects of thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon/evening hours over Southern Kaduna, Abuja, Makurdi, Ibi and Lafia during the afternoon/evening period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-26oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the region. Isolated thunderstorm is expected over the coastal cities especially places like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Yenagoa in the afternoon/evening hours, including some parts of the inland cities such as Akure, Oshogbo, Enugu and Owerri. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-25oC.
