Former Speaker of Kebbi House of Assembly, Hon Aminu Habib Jega, has been killed in an accident along Birnin Kebbi-Kangiwa road.
Close government sources who confirmed this to our reporter said the accident occurred 5:17 p.m. on Friday.
“Yes, he died this evening along Birnin Kebbi-Kangiwa Road. We are attending the burial now in his home town Jega,” a government official confirmed on phone.
The former speaker was as at the time of his death the Special Adviser on Local Government to the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Abubakar Bagudu.
He defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his was impeachment in 2015.
