Firefighters avert disaster in Benin

Officers of the Edo State Fire Service averted a fire disaster in Benin City, the state capital.

The firefighters promptly responded to a distress call to intervene, after a truck carrying petrol fell on the Ikpoba Hill Road and spilled its content.

The fire service officials, who blocked the lane and diverted traffic off the spilled PMS, urged Nigerians to continue to exercise caution whenever accidents of this magnitude happen to prevent loss of lives and property.

This accident is coming on the heels of the fuel scarcity biting hard around the country. (Channels TV)
