The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, on Wednesday decorated eleven senior police officers recently by the Police Service Commission. Those decorated were one Commissioner of Police promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police and 10 Deputy Commissioners of Police promoted to Commissioners of Police with effect from March 15, 2016.
Arase was assisted by the Deputy Inspector-Generals of Police and other members of the Force management team. The event was witnessed by spouses and friends of the beneficiaries who gathered at the Force Headquarters Abuja.
IGP Arase congratulated and charged the officers to live up to the expectation as the Force is stepping up effort to restore civil authority in the North East.
