Delta grassroots leader, Lucky Ukueku
By TINA TIMOTHY
Delta grassroots leader, Comrade Lucky Ukueku, has felicitated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his recent Supreme Court victory, while urging him to reconsider how he is making his appointments.
Ukueku, in a press statement on Sunday January 21, 2024, maintained that those to be appointed should be “persons who stood firmly to deliver their units” while those appointed by the governor “failed in their communities and units” adding that it “is not encouraging.”
According to Ukueke, who is Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South LGA Delta, “Haven appointed the three nominees from each federal ward of the state, he should also know that there are some persons who stood firmly to deliver their units in the recent elections.
“This pertain of PDP fail your unit and get your appointment, that is how the Governor appointment is going and is not encouraging.
“Because he noticed that most of the Governor appointees failed in their Communities and units, especially in those four LGA’s that PDP lost in the state.
“The Governor cannot be rewarding those that loss, and leave those that won their units behind.”
Ukuekeu, the first elected Executive National President of National Association of Presidential Amnesty Scholarship Students Worldwide (NAPASW), congratulated Oborevwori and all other PDP governors who won the recent Supreme Court judgements. He implored them to keep their campaign promises as that will earn them trust from their subjects.
