Governor Sule
BY GAMBO ARABART, Lafia
Nasarawa State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aisha Rufai Ibrahim, has described the January 19, 2024 judgement of the Supreme Court as one that finally affirmed the votes of Nasarawa people for Governor Abdullahi Sule during the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election.
The commissioner stated this in an interview with newsmen during a grand reception organised by the state All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, to celebrate Governor Sule’s. Speaking at the occasion, Saturday at the Government House in Lafia, the commissioner called on the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to give the administration of Engr Abdullahi Sule ample support he needs to move Nasarawa State forward.
“I am appealing to the people of Nasarawa State to be loyal to the governor and support him to govern the state for the interest of all. He has governed the state with integrity and transparency. He is a focused person. So there is the need for us to continue to accord him the atmosphere of peace in order to attract more dividends of governance in his second term just as witnessed in his first tenure,” Aisha Rufai Ibrahim said.
