The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) announced last night that “places around Maiduguri may witness slight reduction in visibility due to fresh dust plume being observed around Chad Republic while the rest of the country will still be under active moisture laden wind.” It made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today,Monday, March 14, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny weather condition is expected over this region. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 24-28oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated during the morning hours. While localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over southern Kaduna, Mambila Plateau, Minna, Bida, Makurdi and Lokoja axis during evening/night hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-27oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of rain/thundery showers in Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Lagos Island, Eket and Calabar in the morning hours, also there are chances of localised thunderstorms over the high ground areas like Akure, Oshogbo, Iseyin, Abeokuta, Enugu. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-26oC.
