The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Sunday, March 13, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny condition is expected over Nguru, Maiduguri, Damaturu, Dutse and Potiskum, with increased cloudiness over the Northwest and prospects of localised thundery activities over Yelwa-Sokoto axis. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-29oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated with chances of early morning localised thunderstorms over Abuja, southern Kaduna, Mambila Plateau, Minna, Bida, Kwara, Makurdi and Lokoja axis during the early morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over some places in the afore-mentioned region during evening/night hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-28oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of localised thundery showers in places such as Akure, Oshogbo, Iseyin, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Shaki, Enugu, Owerri including coastal areas of Port Harcourt, Eket, Yenagoa and Calabar in the morning hours. Afternoon thundery showers are likely over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Benin, the southeast and the river Niger area. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-27oC.
