Ambode holds 2nd Town Hall Meeting today

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, will today, January 19, 2016 meet with the people of Lagos Central Senatorial District in the Second Town Hall meeting of his administration to render accounts of his stewardship to Lagosians.

The Town Hall meeting, which is in fulfillment of his electoral promise to Lagosians on inclusive governance, is aimed at informing the people of his achievements in the last three months in particular; his administration’s plan, policies and programmes as well as getting the people to support and contribute to the various programmes and activities of the government

A release signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, said the Governor, in fulfillment of his electioneering campaign promises of ensuring openness, transparency and accountability, has taken it upon himself to meet with the people and residents of the state at a Town Hall meeting to acquaint them with his plans for the state.

The statement stated further that the meeting, which will take place at the City Hall, Lagos by 11am, is also initiated to enable Lagosians rub minds with the Governor on salient issues and proffer joint solutions to them.

Ayorinde explained that the Town Hall meeting was put together to allow for divergent opinion and views from the grassroots, adding that the residents would have the opportunity to get actively involved in governance.

The release therefore urged all invited residents to attend, meet with the Governor and contribute their quota to moving the state forward.
