ECOWAS Heads of State hold Extraordinary Summit in Abuja

An Extraordinary Summit of the Economic Community of West African States Authority of Heads of State and Government to mark its 40th Anniversary is holding in Abuja, with President Muhammadu Buhari as host.

A report from Abuja said that the main item on the agenda of the summit is the current political situation in Burkina Faso.

The report gave climate change as another issue liely to engage the attention of the regional leaders at the summit.
