For the first time ever, we are parading six showbiz Celebrities who ran foul of the law and were detained by the police at different times. On the showcase are Femi Branch, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Tiwa Savage, Sikiratu Sindodo, Yetunde Wunmi and Obesere.

FEMI BRANCH

This consume and refined film maker who has functioned as an Actor, Producer and Director at various times actually ran into trouble suddenly when he was alleged to have failed to settle his N40million debt borrowed to package a production. The lady who doled out this whooping sum was said to have blown the lid open in bid to recover her debt. Unfortunately, Femo as he is massively addressed in Nollywood, couldn’t meet up the raving lady’s demand. That was how the police was invited into the matter and he was alleged to have been arrested and detained.

IBINABO FIBERESIMA

The kind-hearted former Beauty Queen and AGN President was said not only to have been put behind the bars, but also clamped into jail, serving a term. She was said to have actually cooled off there for a period of five years over a case of manslaughter, involving a medical doctor alleged to have been knocked down dead by Fiberesima whom the police accused of rough driving under the influence of booze.

TIWA SAVAGE

This afro-beat music influenced singer fell flat as the victim of the Police when she reportedly assaulted a Police officer on duty after flouting traffic rules and regulations on Adetokumbo Ademola Road, Victoria Island and was arrested and detained.

TAYO ODUEKE

The highly controversial Nollywood actress was alleged to have ran into the Police trap over manslaughter case of a toddler who allegedly crept under her parked car and was ignorantly crushed as she moved the car. She was subsequently arrested and detained as expected. However, the case died when the understanding parents of the late toddler asked the Police to forget the case. That was how she was luckily let off the hook.

TAIWO AKINWUNMI

The good looking, fine actress, whose fans call Yetunde Wunmi fell into the Police net when they grabbed, detained and handed her over to NDLEA for the necessary and official prosecution.

ABASS AKANDE

The lewd Fuji singer massively addressed as Obesere joined the inevitable league of showbiz celebrities who strayed into the Police net when one young lady alleged that the Oba Asakasa raped her and was detained as a result. But when the friendly act tendered a video tape to stamp his Innocence, the Police who have already clamped him behind bars, instantly let him off the hook.
