Veteran Nollywood starClarion Chukwurah

They are celebrated faces in Nollywood like others, who are only spotted in either English or Yoruba movies. But unlike them, these crossover actresses have featured prominently in both English and Yoruba-speaking productions, doing pretty well in both, to the surprise of Nollywood followers. Their ability to blend with the demands of the English and Yoruba productions undoubtedly stands them out as crossover actresses. Now meet the five pretty, gifted and bi-lingual role interpreters on parade as follows:
Clarion Chukwurah: This UNIBADAN-packaged actress, is actually one of the first generation actresses. Her versatility in both English and Yoruba productions has since made her a highly patronized professional whom producers, directors and marketers hustle for their jobs. Interestingly, concerted observations have also stood her out boldly as a gifted bi-lingual actress who played all roles.
Mercy Aigbe: She’s simply a Benin by birth, but was brought up in Yoruba civilisation, schooling and disposition. She can be described as one of the hottest Yoruba actresses who could also be ticked comfortably as an English movie consequential actress, judging from a bunch of her outings. Her seductive looks which have been fetching Aigbe all the attention of those who need her in their productions, remain a clincher.
Ireti Osayemi: This fleshly Nollywood top actress appears to be more popular in Yoruba movie circle than the English ones. However, Wale Adenuga’s popular TV production series, “Super Story” has featured her a couple of times. During those times, she actually scored herself high as a fine role interpreter. It's quite a puzzle that Osayemi who inched into the English productions from the Yoruba backdrop, has since become a frontliner in that concern.
Grace Amah: She may have been missing in action recently in most English productions. However, she’s still a face to embrace by any standard in Nollywood. Her few Yoruba outings which were quite impressive have really stamped her as an actress fluent in Yoruba language.
Bukky Wright: Her physical beauty is also well reflected in Bukky’s capability in handling Yoruba scripts which interestingly made her the celebrated Nollywood actress we all know. One interesting thing about her supposed Yoruba accent was that this did not rear its head embarrassingly in the few English productions I have had the chance to watch. Oh yeah!
